Q2. When was Southcare first established?
6th April 1982 was the day when Southcare opened its doors for the first time to the people of South Perth and became incorporated as a community support agency on the 10th November 1982.
Q3. What does the Southcare logo mean?
The logo for Southcare Incorporated represents the aims and function of the organisation. The outer square represents the City of South Perth. The black arrows pointing inwards represent the resources coming in from the City to Southcare. The white arrows pointing outwards, stand for the caring and concern going out from Southcare to the community. The cross, which is central in the logo, represents the unconditional love of Christ.
Q4. What are the services that Southcare provide?
Southcare Incorporated is a not-for-profit organisation - services revolve around caring for and providing support to members of the community who need help. These include Home Support services, Emergency Relief, Aboriginal Family Services, transport to and from the centre , Community Visitors Scheme, Mankara Low cost food store and the opportunity shop.
Q5. How can I contribute?
As a non-profit organisation, Southcare welcomes volunteers, please contact Vicki M for more information. or find out more details on volunteering. Cash donations are tax deductible and help us to maintain our commitment to helping the community. Sellable used clothing and household items are welcomed for the Opportunity Shop. Please Help Us to Help Others!
Q6. Can I donate over the Internet?
Currently, the Southcare Website does not facilitate making donations via the Internet. We will in the future consider such facility on our website for your convenience. You can, however, make donations by posting a cheque made out to Southcare Inc or by coming in and seeing us. For more information on donations, find out more. A form is available for you to download and send with your cheque. Or fill out with credit card details and post.
Q7. How do I access the services of Southcare?
You can phone us, explain the assistance you require and we'll put you through to the appropriate Programme Manager, or you can walk into our office in Manning. Check use contact details at the right hand side
