Q1. When was Southcare first established?
6th April 1982 was the day when Southcare opened its doors for the first time to the people of South Perth. Southcare became incorporated as a community support agency on the 10th November 1982. To date, Southcare Incorporated has been serving the community for over 25 years.
Q2. What does the Southcare logo mean?
The logo for Southcare Incorporated represents the aims and function of the organisation. The outer square represents the City of South Perth. The black arrows pointing inwards represent the resources coming in from the City to Southcare. The white arrows pointing outwards stand for the caring and concern going out from Southcare to the community. The cross, which is central in the logo, represents the unconditional love of Christ.
Q3. What are the services that Southcare provide?
Southcare Incorporated is a non—profit organisation whose services revolve around caring and providing support to the community. Some of the services that Southcare provide are Home Support services, Emergency Relief, Aboriginal Elders Program, transport to and from the centre and the Carers Support Group.
Q4. How can I contribute?
As a non—profit organisation, Southcare Incorporated always welcomes volunteers, if you want to volunteer, fill in the registration form online and submit it to us. What Southcare also needs is your tax deductible cash donation and your second—hand clothing and household items. Please Help Us to Help Others!
Q5. Can I donate over the Internet?
Currently, the Southcare Website does not facilitate making donations via the Internet. We will in the future consider such facility on our website for your convenience. You can, however, make donations by posting a cheque or by coming in and seeing us, for more information on donations, click on Donations on the home page.
Q6. How to access the services of Southcare?
You can phone us, explain the assistance you require and we'll put you through to the appropriate Program Manager, or you can just walk into our office in Manning. You could also send us an email, just follow the Contact link at the top of the page.
