What is dementia care?

Southcare provides assistance and support to those living at home with dementia ( Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, lewy body dementia , frontotemporal dementia). At Southcare, we understand it can be physically and emotionally challenging for people living with dementia and their carers. While there is currently no cure for dementia, we have a range of home support services available for dementia patients and their carers. We understand every person living with dementia has individual needs. We take your health, cultural background, social and family networks, personal history and preferences for activities into consideration when developing your personalised care plan to help support you to continue to live independently in your own home.

Managing dementia symptoms and creating a supportive environment is a fundamental aspect of dementia care. At Southcare, we support you by providing day-to-day services and products you choose to help you manage your dementia symptoms and stay in your own home. We can coordinate a range of services across the Perth area to help you in your home. Our dementia care services include:
