The Southcare Board welcomes the appointment of Enda Fahy as the new Chief Executive Officer commencing 1 October 2023.

Enda has been in the acting role of CEO since 3 July, following the decision by Dr Nicky Howe to step down after 12.5 years.

Enda’s passion and commitment to work with the Board and Executive Team to develop and deliver on Southcare’s strategic plan will be the hallmark of future growth.

Chair Veronica Lawrance said the Southcare Board have the utmost confidence in Enda, who takes the role at a pivotal time with aged care reforms, excellence in service delivery, ongoing sector-wide staffing resources and remuneration for essential services all top of the agenda.

“Enda has the passion and commitment needed to lead Southcare into the future,” Veronica said.

“We are confident that Enda will ensure the values and culture of Southcare are ongoing, delivering customer centric services with compassion and strength, and fostering the team spirit so indicative of Southcare staff. We are thrilled to welcome him as our new CEO.”

Enda echoed that sentiment.

“I’m looking forward to building on an already strong legacy with fresh eyes and a robust approach for the benefit of our customers, stakeholders and broader industry,” Enda said.
