Caring Hands Advisory Group
Supporting our participants to feel heard and engaged in their care.

The Caring Hands Advisory Group (CHAG) supports the delivery of quality care and services with our participants being central their care. The members use their caring hands to share their lived experience, ideas and opinions to help improve Southcare’s Community Home Care services and guide the approach to future services.
The CHAG is made up of members including Southcare participants, representatives and next of kin, plus Southcare team members. This diverse mix ensures voices are heard from people experiencing different care types and services from both the Commonwealth Home Support Program and Support at Home, and backgrounds of nursing, sports, community and advocacy, public services, social work and volunteering.
CHAG recommendations are reported to the Southcare Quality Care Advisory Group and the Southcare Board for consideration in decision making. This includes big decisions, and new service options to take to the committee to be involved in the design of these decisions.
