We all need a helping hand from time to time. Whether it’s to stay independent at home, connect with others in our community, escape immediate crisis or become more financially stable when times are tough… our caring hands are here to help.
Southcare first started using its caring hands on April 6, 1982. We have been using them ever since.
Helen Moore is the embodiment of Southcare, helping establish what we do and she continued doing that for 32 incredible years. She remains Southcare’s longest serving volunteer and the roles she held over her tenure were many and varied. They say the gift is in the giving and Helen certainly had the gift! Her legacy lives on in the “Helen Moore Leadership and Service Award” which sees a volunteer of today presented with a trophy in recognition of Helen’s values and service every year.
