How does it work?

Private home care services are not subsidised by the Government.

With private home care services, you skip the assessment process because you pay Southcare directly which means you can access high quality in-home care much faster.

What private home care services can I receive?

The private services are designed to meet your specific needs and can include domestic assistance, garden maintenance, personal driver service to medical appointments, individual post-hospital care to help you get back on your feet, tailored shopping trips and gourmet meal services.

How can I receive private home care services?

Participants with private services have typically been assessed through My Aged Care and:

• are not found to be eligible for Australian Government-subsidised aged care services OR
• are found to be eligible but are waiting for funded services to become available OR
• wanting to “top up” an existing care plan for additional services

How much does it cost?

Southcare’s fee structure is simple and transparent with no exit fees, putting you in total control.  The amount spent depends on how much and how often you use our caring hands and the products you need.
