As you know, here at Southcare we’re always finding innovative ways to use our caring hands to make a difference in our community. That’s why we donated a van full of tablets, printers, and monitors to Technology for Ageing and Disability WA (TADWA) for the second year running.

These devices, while no longer in use at Southcare, are far from reaching the end of their useful life. TADWA’s community re-use and recycling program will give them a second chance, supporting those who need it most. Whether these devices are used directly or repurposed, they will help many individuals across WA.

Southcarers Sagar and Arif (pictured here with TADWA representatives), have helped us transition from older tablets to updated technology to ensure our Home Care Workers are equipped to provide the highest standard of care, in line with our Strategic Plan 2023-2025.

“We’re thrilled to know that our phased-out equipment will contribute to such a great cause. Seeing how TADWA can use these devices to help others stay connected and independent is incredibly rewarding,” Arif says.

If you have equipment to donate or want to learn more about how TADWA’s re-use and recycling program makes a difference, use your caring hands and visit their website here.

Together, we can all be part of something bigger and make a difference everyday!
