Run by the friendly team at Injury Matters, this free workshop will provide useful information on how to stay happy, healthy, and independent! You’ll learn practical strategies to stay healthy through healthy foods and nutrition, managing your medicines and keeping a healthy mind:

Healthy foods and nutrition

Explore simple yet effective ways to incorporate healthy foods into your diet to support your physical health and overall well-being.

“Good nutrition is vital for healthy ageing and older adults are encouraged to consume a balanced diet that includes a variety of food groups, enough water, and limited alcohol.” – Injury Matters

Managing medicines

Learn how to manage your medicines to stay healthy and independent through best practice advice on how to advocate for your health and keep on top of your medication

“With approximately 30% of those aged 65 and over experiencing at least one fall each year, research indicates that medications contribute to 10-25% of these falls so regularly checking medications can help to reduce falls risk.” – Injury Matters

Keeping a healthy mind

As we age, it is important to challenge your brain and maintain social connections in order to stay mentally active. This helps improve your quality of life and increase your ability to stay alert and reduce the risk of falls.

The workshop will help you find many ways to support a healthy mind and maintain your cognitive ability.
