Join us for Crafternoons at Southcare – where creativity and connection meet!

Looking for a fun and creative way to spend an afternoon? We’re excited to announce the launch of a brand-new Craft Club at Southcare – which we are calling “Crafter-noons” as part of our Community Connect program.
Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just looking to try something new, this club is the perfect opportunity to get creative, meet new people, and socialise over a fun learning activity.
Every second Wednesday of the month
1-3pm with tea, coffee and biscuits supplied plus all materials for each lesson
$5 per session (to cover the cost of materials)
Southcare Helen Moore Centre
54 Bickley Crescent, Manning WA 6152
Each session is led by Southcare volunteer Sally, who also runs our weekly knitting circle and brings a wealth of experience and passion for all things crafty. Sally will guide participants through different hands-on projects, making sure that everyone has a great time creating something special.
Some of the exciting things you’ll be able to make include:
- Homemade cards – With paper, stamps, punches and glue provided, you can craft personalised cards for any occasion including birthdays, Mother’s and Father’s Days, Christmas or just because!
- Diamond Art – Add a little sparkle to your life with diamond painting, a relaxing and rewarding activity that also helps mindfulness
- Mosaics – Learn the art of mosaic making, turning small pieces of colorful materials into stunning designs on coasters or other small projects to be completed in the 2-hour session.
- Gift Boxes – Perfect for any occasion, these cute and customisable gift boxes are a lovely way to wrap up your thoughtful presents.
- Christmas wreaths: get festive with us and create something for your front door or dining room table
Each class is $5 (payable by cash to Sally on arrival) and all materials are supplied (of course you are welcome to bring your own too!).
We’ll be learning and creating something different every month so there’s plenty of time to get prepared!
As Sally tells us: “Crafting is not just about making beautiful things – it’s about connecting with others, expressing yourself, and taking some time out for yourself in a busy world. Whether you’re looking for a creative outlet, a way to relax, or simply a chance to meet like-minded people, the Craft Club is the perfect place for you.”
No RSVPs are needed – just bring your enthusiasm and be ready to make something amazing!
We can’t wait to connect and get creative with you!
