Southcare is inviting passionate community leaders to help make a meaningful difference in the lives of older and vulnerable Western Australians, with expressions of interest now open for up to three new Director positions on the Southcare Board.

Chief Executive Officer Enda Fahy said the appointments come at a pivotal and exciting time and would suit applicants that can bring demonstrated experience, leadership and a values-driven mindset to shape the future of aged care in WA.

“These important appointments coincide with the development our next three-year strategic plan and navigate a rapidly changing industry — including the once-in-a-generation rollout of the new Aged Care Act 2024 and the Australian Government’s Support at Home program, launching on 1 November 2025.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of an organisation built on the strength of caring hands — hands that lead with quality, respect, integrity, cooperation and empathy.

We are looking for up to three new Board Members that can:

  • actively contribute and be part of our strategic growth
  • understand the role of governance, strategy and leadership in a not-for-profit setting
  • align with Southcare’s mission, values and Constitution
  • commit to continuous improvement and sustainable impact
  • demonstrate skills in areas such as marketing/communications, risk/governance/compliance, strategic planning/KPI management, finance/accounting, investment/funds management, legal experience, clinical expertise or excellence in aged care

Roles are for a three-year term, with the option of two three-year extensions, meaning a total of nine years.
