Enda Fahy appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer  

The Southcare Board welcomes the appointment of Enda Fahy as Acting Chief Executive Officer effective today, 3 July.

Enda is acting in this role while the Board completes the recruitment process for the permanent position, following the decision by Dr Nicky Howe to step down after 12.5 years of service.

Enda has been with Southcare since 2015 in the role of Chief Finance Officer and has worked closely with the CEO, the Board and Executive Management team. He has been a member of the Southcare Executive since 2015 and also holds the position of Treasurer of the Wanslea Board.

“I am delighted to step into this role to help guide Southcare in advocating and caring for our customers, staff and volunteers,” Mr Fahy said.

“Working so closely with Nicky for the past eight years has been a highlight, and I am very fortunate to continue to have a driven and passionate team around me.

In his role as Chief Finance Officer, Enda has responsibility for Southcare’s overall budget and financial position as well as risk, performance improvements and audit management in line with stringent industry reforms and quality standards.

“Change is always exciting, and I look forward to continuing to work with the Board and other colleagues to ensure the best for our customers and the community we serve,” he said.
